January 2025 delivered something almost unheard of to New Orleans: snow. Not a light dusting, but a historic snowfall that turned palm-lined streets and front yards into a full-blown winter wonderland. For many locals, it felt like a once-in-a-lifetime moment. For Chase, it felt like magic.
Born and raised in south Louisiana, Chase had never known anything colder than a brisk morning walk. When the first flakes fell, his confusion quickly gave way to excitement. He suited up in his winter best and bolted outside. A snowflake landed on his nose. He tested the icy grass with one careful step. Then—zoomies.
Chase plunged his paws into the snow and tore across the yard, barking at falling flakes and chasing snowballs with wide-eyed disbelief (and yes, dogs absolutely experience disbelief). Familiar smells vanished, replaced by something crisp and brand new. Neighbors laughed, snapped photos, and soaked in the joy of watching the city experience winter in a way it almost never does.
By the next day, the snow melted and New Orleans eased back into its usual rhythm. But everyone who witnessed it carried the memory with them. We’ve loved seeing all the throwback photos pop up on social media and wanted to share this little slice of life with you. After all, Chase isn’t just any dog—he’s the Cueria Law Injury lawyers mascot.
